Jesus said to the disciples and in turn to us in John 4:35, to lift up our eyes and look on the fields, for they are already white to harvest. It’s not a matter of whether there’s a harvest, it is all around us—in every direction we turn. In 2007 as never before, the door of harvest and kingdom expansion stands open. The Holy Spirit is challenging the IPHC to step through. We’ve prayed and believed for harvest, for open doors to other ethnicities, for opportunities to plant new churches and to embrace existing churches who are searching for covering and fellowship and to strengthen/revitalize our existing churches. God has responded to us and is in effect saying, “the door is open; it’s now time for the N.C. Conference and the IPHC to step through. I am thoroughly excited and amazed at what God is doing. Jesus is truly building HIS church and the IPHC is a vital part of that Church. It is a continuing theme in this conference that local congregations, become “Mother Churches”. The vision is catching hold and more churches are shouldering the privilege/responsibility to ‘give birth’. This process can no longer consistently be done from the RDC (Resource Development Center); it must be caught by local congregations. The task of Global Evangelization begins in our homes and communities and spreads around the globe. It is not an option for the local church to be missions minded, it is imperative. We must be responsive and obedient to Acts 1:8. We may very well see in 2007, when because of powerful, persistent and prevailing prayer, that every record is matched and surpassed in all categories in Evangelism and Missions—all to the Glory of God !! |
